Dear Friends,
Spring is in the air and our building saga is going on and on…. However, the end is in sight and it already looks great. Our ‘grand opening’ will probably be in June. Do not worry we will keep you posted!
As you will see in the programme, this month we are organising a discussion evening for bisexuals. It all happens on the 29th April at 6.30pm at the Terrence Higgins Trust. We see it as an opportunity to talk about issues that concern this specific group. As always, everyone is welcome.
New! LGBT CAITHNESS. On the 28th of March we had a meeting with some lgbt people living in Caithness who would like to set up an lgbt social group. The initiative was a direct result from the new online lgbtnorthscotland community. It is great to see how it has brought people together already. A big thank you to the people who initiated it! As a result a new social group is born, LGBT CAITHNESS. Monthly social gatherings will be organised. The first one is on Wednesday 16 April at 7pm at the Central (bar, hotel and restaurant), 1 Traill Street in Thurso. Contact Jon on 07749 517826 or Rob 07511 199066 or 01847 896 281 for more information.
Do you feel rather isolated and do you have access to a computer and the internet? Get online and join the online lgbt community. Initiate an activity, raise a topic for discussion, announce an event, communicate with individuals or with the group as a whole. Join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lgbtnorthscotland.
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help us with distributing safer sex materials at music festivals during the summer and for some people who would like to help us with our outreach work at cruising areas. If you are interested in any of these two, please do not hesitate to contact Agnes Boes on 07816 064752 or 01463 711585
